An essay checker for language and clarity

Use a restrained academic polish to review the wording of an existing essay section. This tool suggests edited text; it does not grade the essay, check plagiarism or verify the research.

Check language before changing the argument

Read the essay once for the argument and once for the wording. This editor helps with the second pass: long openings, unnecessary repetition and phrasing that makes a claim harder to follow. Academic style keeps technical language and cautious conclusions in view.

The tool is instructed to preserve factual relationships, attribution and uncertainty. That does not replace your own check of the argument. Review whether each paragraph supports the thesis and whether the sources actually justify the conclusion.

Keep references and evidence separate from language suggestions

A polished reference is not a verified reference. Check author names, publication details and quoted passages against the source. Numbers, quotes and links are protected automatically, and you can protect additional terminology before submitting.

Free accepts sections of up to 1,000 input words. Review the complete essay after editing sections, because transitions, repeated terms and references across sections need a document-level check. Use your rubric or an instructor’s feedback for grading and subject-specific requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Does this detect plagiarism or AI writing?

No. This is a language-editing tool. It does not search for matching sources, run an AI detector or assign an originality score.

Will it grade my essay?

No. It returns a suggested language edit, not a rubric score or an assessment of your evidence.
